We’ve also collaborated with “The Maryland Book Bank”. The MBB is a nonprofit organization committed to cultivating literacy in children from under-resourced neighborhoods. SPM has delivered brand new children’s books to “Baby2Baby” for their holiday family initiatives. Through our friends at Baby2Baby we were introduced and connected to the wonderful souls at “Save The Children”. We are currently donating 100’s of brand new children’s books to their organization. Save the Children was the first global movement for children, boldly declaring that children have rights. They are the global leaders in child health, education, and protection. Thankful to also be associated with Little Essentials who’s mission is to offer at-risk families living in poverty urgently needing children’s supplies and parenting education to promote the health, wellbeing and safety of their children under five years of age. The Marine Toys for Tots Program has been around since the early 90’s. SPM is delighted to be supporting their service both for children in need and for their protection duties of America. The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children. There is more than one way to create a smile. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital offers various ways to donate. You can impact a child’s life by simply sending a FREE digital card to a patient in search of a little extra happiness. Write an encouraging note to a patient today who is undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This Minnesota nonprofits mission is to provide books to children and ignite a passion for reading that empowers each child to explore a world of opportunity. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.
After launching in 1995, the program grew quickly. First books were only distributed to children living in Sevier County, Tennessee where Dolly grew up. It became such a success that in 2000 a national replication effort was underway. By 2003, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library had mailed one million books. It would prove to be the first of many millions of books sent to children around the world.
SPM has specifically connected and collaborated with Imagination Library’s South Carolina affiliate program “Begin With Books” for a holiday book donation courtesy of Precision Transmission Company.
